Achievement and Highlights of S&T department, Nagpur Division for the month of January 2026
1. E.I and Yard modification in connection with augmentation of 3rd line work has been commissioned at Tumsar Road station (191 routes) by construction/NGP unit. S&T/Open line was actively involved and extended all the assistance required during every stages of this work.
2. Replacement of IRS point machine by Thick Web Switches have been doneat following stations in the Month of Jan’26:
3. To improve reliability of signalling system, 151 Nos. of over aged LED have been replaced with new LEDs over Nagpur Division {Station wise LED (in nos.) replacement details are as follows :- RSM-5, KWN-8, HDM-33, GNL-25, DEW-9, AJU-16, WDG-13, LIG-7, BDKD-35 in the month Jan’26.
4. New SSDAC has been commissioned between Goberwahi-Tumsar section on 31.01.2026.
5. To improve reliability of point operation, old worn-out IRS point machines have been replaced at following stations in the month of Jan’26.
6. Offline Safety seminar held at Nainpur (10 nos. of S&T staff attended) & Tirodi stations (3 nos. of S&T taff attended) on Unsafe practices in relay room, Upkeep of signaling gears at gates & stations, Disconnection & reconnection on 12.01.2026 & 21.01.2026 respectively.
7. Worn-out Tongue rails have been replaced in coordination with Engineering Department at following station in the month of Jan’26
8. New IPS battery set (200AH) has been installed Hatta road station on 04.01.26.
9. IPS battery set have been replaced at station/LC Gate/Auto goomty in the month of Jan’26.
10. For improving reliability of track circuit, 30 nos. ofglued joints have been replaced in association with Engineering Department in the month of Jan’2026.
11. Track circuit batteries have been replaced with new one at the following stations in the month of Jan’26
12. The New Internet /Railnet connectivity have been provided at following location in the month of January’2026. i) Engg. Drawing section/Office – 02 nos. ii) Pay Office – 01 no. iii) Diesel Training School – 02 nos. iv) GSU Office – 01 no. v) Engineering Control - 01 no.
13. 2 nos. Horn speakers on pf no. 4&5 and 01 no. Horn speaker provided at Rasmara station and also tested on 09.01.26.
14. New Statcon/48V Battery Charger Installed at Ramtek OFC Hut on 16.01.26.
15. The Periodical testing of Wakie -Talkie testing of following Guard/Driver lobby have been done in the month of January’2026.
16. The OFC/6 Quad cable have been replaced at the following locations in the month of January’ 2026.
