विभाग की मुख्य गतिविधियां/CORE ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT:

 

Analyze causes of accidents and advice action plans including issuing of Safety Circulars, conducting Safety drives, organizing Safety seminars, Staff Counseling etc. to prevent accidents.












उपलब्धियॉं /ACHIEVEMENTS – 2023-24:

 

  • There was no Fire on train accident.
  • There was no Level Crossing accident.
  • Zero Accident Months – April-2023 had Zero accident.
  • Safety Seminars - 11 Safety Seminars were organized in the division at             various locations for the guidance of staff.
  • Safety Drives - 18Safety Drive (RB=10, HQ=05 & Divl. =03) have been launched in the division.
  • Safety inspections – Total 333 inspections (of which 58-night inspections) were carried out by Safety Officers & 1055 inspections (of which 212-night inspections) were carried out by Safety Counselors from April to Sept 2023. These were done for intensifying safety efforts and bringing safety environment in work culture.
  • PME & RC is being reviewed in Safety meeting every week.  Total 718 employees attended PME & 745 attended RC from April to Sept. 2023.
  • In terms of RB’s directives International Level Crossing Awareness Week was celebrated from 10.06.2023 to 16.06.2023 and “International Level Crossing Awareness Day” on 15.06.2023. During the campaign, 246 checks were carried out covering 132 level crossing gates.  About 8046 road users were counseled and 5000 handbills distributed on precautions to be taken while crossing level crossings.
