Introduction of Electric Loco Shed, Bhilai
Electric Loco shed, Bhilai is situated in Raipur Division of South East Central Railway. It has been established on 24th January, 1970 with holding of 81 Electric Locomotives. Presently this shed is holding 261 various types of locomotives viz WAG7 : 78, WAP7 : 56 & WAG9 : 127.
Electric Loco shed, Bhilai is the second Electric Loco shed of South Eastern Railway before trifurcation and was constructed keeping in view the additional requirements of electric Locomotives consequent upon Rourkela-Durg electrification.
