CORE ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT:
ØAnalyzes causes of accidents and prepares action plans to prevent accidents.
ØCo-ordination and monitoring during and after accidents, inquiries, inspections, mock drills, seminars, Safety Circular, SAG Audit, Safety drives and training and counseling of safety category staff.
ØDivisional Disaster Management Plan is being prepared yearly.
ØIrregularities noticed during inspection is highlighted through Safety Information Management system (SIMS) Portal.
