1. Inauguration of Gondia - Chhapra  Express on 27th Oct, 2013 at Gondia Railway Station.

2.    Seminar and Workshop on Small Track Machines.

       The South East Central Railway Chapter of Railway Track Engineering Department conducted a seminar on track maintenance with Small Track Machine at the zonal headquarters. Shri Navin Tandon, General Manager, South East Central Railway was the chief guest of seminar. The seminar discussed on the problems maintaining tracks through old method and manually which leads to lot of difficulties besides labor. To extend safe train operation and proper track maintenance, Railways now utilizing modern technology.

          The Track Machine satellite depot, Bilaspur also gave demonstration of Small Track Machine.

3 .    South East Central Railway observes International Women’s Day

          South East Central Railway observed International Women’s Day with them, “Role of women for development of society and nation” at the zonal headquarters on 7th March, 2014. Shri Navin Tandon, General Manager, South East Central Railway was the chief guest while President of South East Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SECRWWO) Amita Tandon was special guest of the function.

The dignitaries during the function addressed on education and regular health check-up of women and their role in maintaining the family and bringing up children.

4.   3rdIndian Railways Cub Bulbul Utsav Organized by South East Central railway scout & guide.

3rd Indian Railways Cub Bulbul Utsav Organized by South East Central Railway Scout & Guide from 2nd to 4thDecember, 2014. Smt. Amita Tandon, President of South East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization (SECRWWO) was inaugurated the three days programme on 2nd December, 2014.

About 1200 young Cubs and Bulbuls along with their Unit leaders from 16 Zonal Railways participated in the programme. Various events comprising Bulbul Naad, one act plays, Jungle acts, crow-dance, folk dance, story depiction, questionnaires, handicraft display, painting competition and many others were held to mark three-day programme.

5.  14 RPF Jawans Remembered on Martyrs Day.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) paid rich tributes to the officials and jawans who laid their lives battling with the terrorists and criminals. The function was held in the RPF Barrack and RPF Ground on 21 Oct, 2013. About 14 RPF jawans who laid their lives on duty were remembered during the gathering as part of Martyrs Day

6.  41st All India Civil Defence Week Camp organized by SECR from 1st to 6thDecember, 2013.

   The 41st All India Civil Defence Week Camp organized by South East Central Railwayat Kendriya Vidyalaya Dongargarh from 1st to 6th December, 2013.

   Shri Navin Tandon, General Manager, South East Central Railway was the chief guest of the valedictory session of the camp. Smt. Amita Tandon, President, SECRWWO and Shri S.L.Verma, DRM/NGP were the special invitees on this occation.

   During the weeklong camp, the Civil Defense volunteer exhibited dare devil show of rescuing people effort to protect the citizens from disaster, mishaps and military attack, earthquake, flood and bomb blast besides prevention, emergency operations, mitigation, preparation, response, emergency evacuation and recovery.
