                                                                    (SIGNAL &TELECOM /NGP Division of SECR)

 

 

ØAutomatic signaling in place of absolute block signaling has been commissioned by S&T/Project wing on 28.11.2020 at Bortalao-Paniajob-Dongargarh (17 Km) section, on A route of NGP division. S&T open line/Nagpur has extended all the assistance required to S&T/project wing for commissioning of the same. 

ØElectronic interlocking (EI) with dual VDU, Hot standby arrangement along with MACLS (Single Distant territory) signalling arrangement, standard IIR interlocking, completetrack circuiting ,IPS ,DG set, Data logger, UFSBI& BPAC with standbyarrangementhave been commissioned on 20.10.20 at Charegaon (22 routes) &Mandala fort (22 routes ) stationsin Nainpur –Balaghat section & Nainpur – Mandala fort section respectivelyas part of Gauge conversion Project. S&T/Open line was actively involved during all stages from installations till commissioning. 

 

 

ØYard remodeling at Bakal (BAKL), station in connection with commissioning of 3rd line in G-DUG section, has been completed on 10.10.2020 along with installation of new distributed Hot standby El.Further, in this work, Fuse alarm system, fire alarm systems have been provided. After modification, No. of routes at Bakal station has been increased to 33 nos. which was earlier 30 nos.

 

ØYard remodeling at Jatkanhar (JTR) station in connection with commissioning of 3rd line in G-DUG section, has been completed on 10.9.2020 along with installation of new Hot standby Electronic lnterlocking.

Further, in this work, Fuse alarm system, fire alarm systems have been provided. After modification, No. of routes at Jatkanhar station has been increased to 31 nos. which was earlier 25 nos.  

 

ØYard remodeling along with Electronic Interlockingmodification in connection with commissioning of new siding (M/S Jhabua Power plant siding) at Binaiki(VNK) station has been commissioned on date: 01.08.2020. 

 

ØYard remodelling along with Electronic Interlocking modificationat Rajnandgaon(RJN) station in connection with commissioning of 3rd line in RJN-DGG section, has been completed on 16.8.2020.Further, in this work, Fuse alarm system, fire alarm systems have been provided. After modification, No. of routes at Rajnandgaon station has been increased to 122 nos. which was earlier 76 nos. 

 

ØYard remodeling at Musra (MUA) station in connection with commissioning of 3rd line in RJN-DGG section, has been completed on 31.8.2020.Further, in this work, Distributed Hot standby EI system with DUAL VDU, Fuse alarm system, fire alarm systems have been provided. After modification, No. of routes at Musra station has been increased to 36 nos. which was earlier 26 nos. 

 

ØOn 20/12/2020, a super critical project of 13 kilometers of doubling has been commissioned along with provision of Electronic interlocking and signaling arrangement at new “junction cabin” between major yards Kalumna and Godhani Chord Cabin.This commissioning has introduced traffic facility for train diversion between Itwari to Godhni chord cabin as well as between Khaperkheda to Kalumna.

 

ØKalumna yard remodeling has been commissioned on 20.12.20 with addition of new common loop line No. 13 along with modification in Electronic interlocking (distributed EI with Hot stand annangement,187 routes).

 

ØMajor Yard remodeling work of Dongargarh station in connection with 3rd line work between Rajnandgaon and Dongargarh station has been commissioned on 08.01.2021 on A – route NGP-DUG section. As part of this work, new EI (distributed architecture with hot standby) commissioned at Dongargarh station with137 Nos. of Routes (Earlier 66 routes were with PI). Dual VDU for operation and Auto section display VDU have been provided for real time monitoring of the section.

 

ØOn Date 23.7.20, new Electronic interlocking system (Kyosan -Make) has been commissioned at Chacher station for yard remodelling in connection with addition of two new loop lines and connectivity ofROR line for Mauda(NTPC) Thermal Power Project, taking off from Chacher station.

 

ØInterlocking of LC gates have been commissioned at three LC gates i.e LC No. 463 (Km. No.903/29-31) between RJN-BAKL, NC-73 (Km. No. 1225/12) at Chaurai Yard and LC No. 43 (Km. No. 1160/4-5) at MFR yard along with EKT less, electrically operated lifting barriers on 03.09.20, 20.03.21&20.10.20respectively. 

ØAs per the railway board guidelines, for integration of Electronic in motion weighbridges with FOIS, connectivity have been provided at all 10 stations i.e Saoner, Goberwahi, Ramtek, Tirora, Dongribuzurg,Tirodi,Dumrikhurd, Tumsar Road, Balaghat & Bhandara Road stations within the timelines(Dec-20) fixed by railway Board.

 

ØCCTV cameras have been installed at Ramtek (03 nos.) and Chandafort (06 nos.) stations for monitoring of cleanliness of stations under NGT scheme.

 

ØCCTV cameras have been installed at 6 stations i.e MIB, ITR, BRD, TMR, RJN, & DGG stations for monitoring of inside and outside of PRS/UTS counters. 

 

ØNew Railway Telephone exchange have been commissioned at Nainpur, Balaghat, Mount Road(Railway colony, Nagpur), Nagpur (Divisional office) &Chhindwara stationsin place of old outlived telephone exchanges. 

ØComputer based Passenger Reservation Chart display system has been commissioned at P.F. no.1 of Gondia station on 29.11.2020 as well as at P.F. no.1 of Rajnandgaon station on 03.12.2020. 

ØTirodi station yard remodeling, a critical and long pending work in connection with New line between Tirodi-Katangi (15.90 kms) has been commissioned on 21.02.2021 at Nagpur division of SECR.The commissioning has introduced an additional loop line in Tirodi yard for traffic facility having CSL more than 712 meter for handling complete rake in one go. Further, NewElectronic interlocking (Hitachi make, Centralized) at Tirodi has been commissioned having 57 routes (Earlier 23 route) with hot standby arrangement & dual VDU. 

ØTo upgrade the knowledge and ensure in house training of S&T maintenance staff duly taking all precaution of the Covid-19 Pandemic, “E-Learning Centre (Sig & Tele)” has been setup by S&T department at Musra in the month of Feb’21. It will also facilitate On-line initial course training imparted by IRISET and other trainingschools to the Apprentice JEs and Technicians. 

ØThe following passenger amenity items have been commissioned at Rajnandgaon station in the month of feb-2021 :-

a.02 nos. Single line TIB (PF No. 1 & 2)

b.04 nos. Train at a Glance (FOB 1 & 2)

c.02 nos. Multiline Display System (at Booking Hall South side and North side Main gate).

d.06 nos. GPS Clock(at Booking Hall South side PF No. 1,2 & 3 Main Gate North side). 

Ø26 nos. of Coach Guidance Display Boards and 02 nos. of train indication boards have been commissioned at Gondia Platform No.2 on 22.02.2021. 

 

ØElectronic interlocking (EI) with dual VDU, Hot standby arrangement along with MACLS (Single Distant territory) signalling arrangement, standard IIR interlocking, completetrack circuiting, IPS, DG set, Data logger, UFSBI& BPAC with standbyarrangementhave been commissionedat Bhoma, Keolari & Palaristations on 01.03.21 and Chaurai& Jhilmili stationson 20.03.21 respectivelyin Nainpur – Chhindwara section as part of Gauge conversion Project. S&T/Open line was actively involved during all stages from installations till commissioning. (Total Block section length = 88.24 km)

 

ØThird line (32Km) along with Bidirectional Automatic Signalling arrangement with direction setting panel on UFSBI, has been commissioned between Dongargarh – Rajanandgaon section on A route of Nagpur Division on 14.03.21. S&T open line/Nagpur has extended all the assistance required to S&T/construction wing for commissioning of the same.

 

ØIn connection with New line, Signaling arrangement at Katangi-Tirodi, with Block section of 15.9 Km on E route has been commissioned on 21.03.21. By commissioning of new block section Nagpur division will have a new route for Nagpur via Balaghat-Katangi-Tirodi-Tumsar, avoiding busy yard of Gondia.

 

ØElectronic Interlocking in place of Central Panel interlocking has been commissioned at Katangi station on E route of NGP Division on 13.03.21.

9.One no. STM-1(Make: TEJAS) has been replaced in place of existing defective STM-1 at Rajoli station on 01.06.2021.

        

Achievement and Highlights of S&T department, NGP Division for the month of July’21 are given below for your kind perusal:-

1.On 07/07/2021, Bortalao station Yard remodeling work in connection with 3rd line between Bortalao and Darekasa has been commissioned in A-route of Nagpur division of SECR. With this commissioning, 20 years old installation of end cabin Panel interlocking has been replaced with Electronic interlocking system at new station building.


                   The newly commissioned station has following features:

a.New Distributed EI (Hitachi) at Bortalao with 93 nos. routes(earlier 38nos) with hot standby arrangement and dual VDU.

b.1 no. hand operated siding point replaced with motor operated point.

c.New Thick web switch points -06 nos.

d.New Signals - 04 nos.

e.New CO signals - 06 nos.

f.New Shunt Signals -03 nos.

g.Direction setting panel for 3rd line automatic signaling- 1No.

h.Total 04 nos. MSDAC ECs have been provided for 3rd line Auto signaling.

i.VDUs for live monitoring of train movement in the auto section for 3rd line (7.64km) have been provided at BTL station.


     2. On 09/07/2021 at 10.10 Hrs. Darekasa station Yard remodeling work            in connection with 3rd line between Darekasa and Bortalao has been commissioned in A-route of Nagpur division of SECR.

       With this commissioning, 17 years old EI installation has been replaced with new Electronic interlocking (Hitachi make) system at new station building.

                The newly commissioned station has following features:

a.New Distributed EI (Hitachi) at DAREKASA with 65 nos. routes (earlier 29nos) with hot standby arrangement and dual VDU.

b.All S&T equipments are shifted to new building.

c.New Thick web switch points -03 nos.

d.New Signals in yard - 05 nos.

e.New Auto signals between 3rd line Darekasa – Bortalao (UP & DN)-08 nos.

f.New CO signals - 8 nos.

g.New Shunt Signals -07 nos.

h.Direction setting panel for 3rd line automatic signaling- 1No.

i.Total 04 nos. MSDAC ECs have been provided for 3rd line Auto signaling.

          VDUs for live monitoring of train movement in the auto section for 3rd line (7.64km) have been provided at DKS station

   14. AT supply connectivity have been provided for the Control telephone (12 volts) chargers, VHF(25 W)chargers & chargers (48 V )of OFC equipment at Hatt, Birsola, Balaghat, Waraseoni, Samnapur, Khaperkheda, Patansaongi, Saoner, Kelod, Sausar stationsin July’2021.

    15.  New Railnet/Internet connectivity has been provided in following locations of Nagpur division in the month of July, 2021.

          i)      COVID care center/Motibagh

          ii)Electrical (Genl)/Motibagh workshop----02 nos.

         iii)Signal Test room/CNL------- 01 no.

         iv)Elect(TRD) Office/NGP-----------02 no.

    16. The following Telecom items have been commissioned at the newly installed COVID care center, Motibagh (NGP) in the month of July’21.

          i)CCTV---- 03 nos.

          ii)PC-------02 nos.

          iii)Doctor-Patient contact less interaction through Wi-Fi enabled CCTV camera.

     17. Queue Management system has been installed successfully at Policlinic Motibagh hospital for effective crowd management in view of Covid-19 pandemic.



                                                                                      August,2021

       Achievement and Highlights of S&T department, NGP Division for the month of August’2021 are given below for your kind perusal:-

  

1.On 29/08/21, 18 Kms. of Auto- signals have been commissioned at 17:45 Hrs, between Musra-Bakal and Bakal - Rajnandgaon sections over A-Route of NGP division of SECR.

 

The Automatic signaling work include following features:

 

a.Total 10 Nos. Down auto signals and 10 Nos. Up auto signals have been provided between the sections.

b.Work involved alterations at 3 stations in distributed EI system. Also alteration has been done in 7 Nos. mid-section LC gate goomties & 1 no. of Auto signal goomties.

c.Dual MSDACs of Siemens make have been provided in the auto section with media redundancy in 6-Quad cable.

d.VDUs for real time monitoring of train movement in the auto section have been provided in all 3 stations i.e. Musra, Bakal and Rajnandgaon Stations.

e.In the instant work, IBS between Musra-Bakal and Bakal - Rajnandgaon have been eliminated.

5.At Kalumna Junction cabin, SSDAC axle counter of CEL make 2XT, 3AXT and 25AXT respectively with 2T, 3AT & 25AT DC track circuits in parallel over iron Girder Bridge have been commissioned on 25.08.21.

 

6.An innovative device named ‘Relay flasher’ is designed by SSE/Sig/CHCR, Mr. P. Nirmal Kumar to check the high resistance contact in Q-style relays and then rectify the same for reusing in the circuit.

 

7.Online Zonal Safety Seminar with officials of all three divisions held on 16.08.21 in which 05 nos of signaling staffs attended the online seminar.

 

8.Safety seminar was conducted at Nagbhir station on dated 26.08.2021 in which total 08 nos of staff participated for the seminar.

 

9.To improve reliability of point operation, old worn-out point machines have been replaced at following stations in Aug’2021.

17.The battery backup (24 nos. Microtrx, 2 V/120 AH) of OFC equipment has been replaced on 25.08.2021 at Hirdamali station.

 

18.New Railnet/Internet connectivity has been provided in following locations of Nagpur division in the month of Aug’2021.

19.02 nos of TIB have been commissioned at Gondia station in platform no. 3 & 4 in the month of Aug’ 2021.

 

20.02 nos. of “At a Glance” Display Board have been commissioned at Gondia station in platform no.1 for 2nd class waiting hall in the month of Aug’2021.

 

21.24 nos. of CGDB have been commissioned at Gondia station platform no. 4 in the month of Aug’ 2021.

 

02 nos of GPS clock have been commissioned at Gondia station in platform no. 3 for south end utility building (Make - M/s. Patronics) in the month of Aug’2021.

Achievement and Highlights of S&T department, NGP Division for the month of September’2021 are given below for your kind perusal:-

 

1.Chiraidongri station commissioned at 06:00 hrs on 02.09.2021 with 32 routes.

a.One additional loop line with dual detection axle counter has been provided in additional Loop.

b.Four nos. of new points i.e. 33A/B & 41A/B and 02 nos of new signals I.e. S9 and S10 have also been provided.

c.CSL of new goods loop is 752 Mtrs.

3.Online Safety Seminar was conducted by Sr. DSTE/NGP with all SSEs/JEs of Signal and Telecom of NGP division held on 30.09.21 in which 32 nos. of signaling and telecom staffs attended the online seminar.

 

4.At Kalumna station, UP Home signal S-1 theatre type route indicator is replaced in the month of Sept’21.

8.For improving reliability of track circuit, 35 nos. of glued joints have been replaced in association with Engg. Department in the month of September’2021.

 

9.The 48 V battery back bank of OFC equipment has been replaced on 20.09.2021 at Alewahi station (24 no, 2 V, 120 AH).

 

10.Railnet connectivity has been commissioned on 29.09.2021 at Health unit/Chhindwara.

 

11.Railnet/Internet connectivity has been commissioned at PWI office/ Saoner through Railway 2 Mbps channel on 24.09.2021.

 

12.New Railnet/Internet connectivity have been provided in following locations of Nagpur division in the month of September’ 2021.

i)Engineering /Tender section/NGP----01 no,

ii)Electrical (OP)/NGP------- 01 no,

iii)Accounts dept/Review cell /NGP-----------01 no,

iv)Security office/NGP --------------03 nos.

 

13.New FOIS connectivity has been provided at Chanda Fort station through Railway2 Mbps channel on 12.09.2021.

 

14.02 nos. of GPS clock in PF No. 2 at Gondia station have been commissioned in the month of Sept’2021.

 

15.02 nos. At a Glance Display Board of middle FOB 2 Howrah end at Gondia station have been commissioned in the month of Sept’2021.
