Regular and intensive Counseling of Running Staff

a)Calling out of Signal aspects loudly with the name of the station & Type of Signal along with the hand gesture.

b)Carrying out Brake Feel & Brake Power Tests as per procedure.

c)Ensuring proper GDR checking of freight trains.

Tools for avoiding SPAD:

a)Improve crew booking as per “Fetch as per Rule”.

b)Use of ‘FOG safe device”

c)“Aaj Ka Paath” is being displayed and counseled through CLIs at all Lobbies.

d)Right Hand Signal location Pamphlets and displaying of list at lobby.

e)Special attention for avoiding Rolling Down case

Improvement of Running Room in order to ensure efficient train operation.

a)All Running Rooms have been declared “Silent Zones”.

b)Quality checks are being carried out by Officers in regard to the food provided at the Running Rooms.

Reduction in Long hour’s duty of Running Staff for Smooth Train Operation.

a)Implementation of instructions given by High Powered Committee regarding Long Hours vide letter no. E(LL)/2016/1 dated 28.11.2016

b)Jeeps have been provided for prompt relief of staff to return back and sent to nearest Running Room.

c)Regular monitoring of crew long hours fortnightly and monthly basis and efforts are being taken to minimize in co-ordination with Operating department.

Training of Running staff for updated knowledge of locomotives

Training of Running staff for modern locomotives and other technological development in locomotives so that they feel accustomed in working such locomotives. Ensuring Refresher course and PME of LP & ALP.

6.

Minimize failure on crew account.
