Major Achievement and Highlights of S&T department ( Year 16-17)

******************************************************************************

1)S&T Training centre at Nainpur (SSTC/NIR) has been inaugurated by GM/SECR on 09.01.17.It consists of working model of various S&T equipments like EI,MSDAC, SSDAC, UFSBI,IPS,DC track circuit, Electric lifting barrier, Point machine, Signals, PA system, STM, MUX, DTMF equipment etc. This training school is connected to IRISET through video conference arrangement.

 

2)Narrow gauge rail museum (NGRM) has been inaugurated by GM/SECR at Nainpur on 09.01.17. It displays various artifacts of Signal & Telecommunication of bygone Narrow gauge era.

 

3)Automatic signaling has been commissioned at Tumsar Road – Mundikota-Tirora section and Tirora -Kachewani & Gondia –Gudma section by S&T/Project wing on 07.4.16 , 25.10.16 & 13.1.17 respectively .

 

4)Modification of signaling arrangement along with MACLS (Single Distant territory),completetrack circuiting ,Electronic interlocking (EI) with dual VDU , IPS ,DG set & Solar panel (for catering signaling load), Datalogger, UFSBI ,BPAC arrangement, CUGSIM, 25W VHF, Railway Telephone, FCT, PA system, Control telephone & UTS have been commissioned at Sukhrimangla, Burgi, Gowarighat and Ghara stations as part of Gauge conversion Project in Jabalpur-Gondia section on 01.09.16.

 

One Electrically operated interlocked LC gate at Km no. 1125/8-9 has been commissioned along sliding boom at Gwarighat station.

 

5)Electronic Interlocking along with standard III interlocking and provision ofData logger, BPAC , UFSBI, IPS, modified LED signals, Lightning protection arrangement (B,C,D)as well as Earth leakage detectors has been commissioned at following stations by RE organization:

6)Central Panel Interlocking along with MACLS , standard III arrangement, provision ofData logger, BPAC arrangement, Tokenless block instrument & IPShas been commissioned atRamtek station on 20.6.16.

 

7)Modification of Gondia West Panel has been commissioned on 06.05.16 along with following gears by Project unit.

In this work, division has given significant contribution. 4 nos. of officers, 7 nos. of Inspectors, 9 nos. of Technicians and 11 nos. of Gr. D staff were deputed from S&T open line (division) to commission this major work.

 

8)Railway siding forM/s Ultra Tech Cement Ltd. with extension of over run of down loop line No. 1 atChacherstation with two numbers of shunt signal, two nos. of motor points and one track circuit along with EI modification work has been commissioned on 9.7.16.

 

9)To improve the availability of equipment during failure of main SSDAC , additional (Standby)SSDAC as per modified reset circuit as per the modified reset circuit issued by HQ vide No.SECR/S&T/DRG. /TYP/SSDAC/2295 at following mainline sections:-

11)Coach Guidance Display Boards (CGDB) has been installed at Tumsar Road on Platform No.2 (24 nos. of CGDB) & 3 (24 nos. of CGDB) on 23.08.16.

12)FireExtinguisher equipments have been provided at centralized relay rooms of 17 stations of NGP-DUG mainline stations.-

 

13)98 numbers of wornout point machines have been replaced from April’16 to Nov’16enhance reliability.

 

14)Air conditioners have been provided in centralRelay roomof Kalumna, Chacher, Tharsa, Rewral, Tirora, Rasmara , Gudma , Darekasa ,Muripar, Mundikota, Koka, Khat & Aamgaon stations in the year16-17.

 

15)Aditional CCTV have been commissioned at Rajanandgaon station on 25.04.2016 (Total camera= 09 nos, 04 nos. at PF No. 1, 03 nos. at PF no. 2 , 01 no. eachat north side circulating area as well asat south side circulating area)

 

16)The following Un-manned LC gates are converted in manned LC gate Providing telephone communication in the month of April’2016:-

17)5 existing UTS locations have been converted into UTS cum PRS location at Hirdamali, Gongle, Khat, Goberwahi &Dewalgaon stations on 01.04.16.

 

18)368nos. of modified SPD (LPD) cards of MSDAC have been provided at NGP –DUG section in June’16 - July’16 .

 

19)One number new RCIL channel has been commissioned on 25.05.2016 in between Nagpur – Jabalpur for opening the control communication between Jabalpur –Sukreemangela section.

 

20)“Tele presence service” through RCIL, 4MB MPLS connectivity has been commissioned on28 th September 2016 from DRM/NGP’s conference to Railway Board and at Zonal & Divisional HQ.

 

 

21)All The RCIL FOIS and RAILNET Circuitshavebeen provided in new STM of RCIL hence ensuring proper testing facility of protection path for all control circuitRailnet FOIS & UTS circuit on 6.8.16.
