ACHIEVEMENTS

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2017

 

During the month the following cleanliness activities were undertaken under SBM -

 

·A cleanliness drive was carried out from 15.04.2017 to 29.04.2017 at Narrow Gauge Rail Museum, Nagpur. The detailed report has been sent to office of AGM vide this office letter No.2017/DRM/Cleanliness drive/239, dated 01.05.2017.

 

·A cleanliness drive was organized by Poddar International School, Gondia at Railway station, Gondia on 27.04.2017. The report has been sent to office of AGM vide this office letter No.2017/DRM/Cleanliness drive/244, dated 02.05.2017.

 

OPERATING

 

a)Coaching Operations–

1.During the month 100% punctuality maintained: Passenger – 9 days.

2.174 Special trains were run during the month.

3.4 VPs loaded ex.ITR to NGC earning ` 4,93,880/-.

4.1 FTR SPL Run Ex RJN to JAT and back on 20.04.2017 Earning ` 40,14,108/-

5.Extension of Temporary Augmentation :

-18239/18240 by 2 GS ex.GAD upto 29/06/17 and ex.NGP upto 30/06/17.

-12856/12855 by 2 GS ex.NGP upto 30/06/17 and ex.BSP upto 30/06/17.

-12070/12069 by 1 SCZI ex.G upto 29/06/17 and ex.RIG upto 30/06/17.

 

b)Freight Operations –

1.Overall Average speed of 34.1 kmph achieved during as compared to 33.3 kmph during corresponding period of previous year, which is an improvement of 2.4%.

2.Average freight loading in terms of wagons was 273.3 wagons/day as compared to 195.3 wagons/day during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 39.9%.

 

3.Total revenue loading in tonnage was 0.553 MT as compared to 0.401 MT during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 37.9%.

 

4.Freight revenue of `29.99 crores were earned as compared to `17.97 crores during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 66.9%.

 

5.Average Diesel loco utilisation during the month was 690 kms as compared to 644 kms during corresponding month of previous year, which is an improvement of 7.1%.

6.Average Wagon interchange during the month was 6805 wagons/day as compared to 6279 wagons/day during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 8.4%.

7.Average Train interchange during the month was 130.2 trains/day as compared to 120.8 trains/day during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 7.8%.

8.Average Wagon Turn Round during the month was 1.4 days which same as corresponding period of last year.

9.Average terminal detention to Inward rakes was 09.29 hrs during Apr’17 as compared to 16.49 hrs during corresponding period of last year, which is an improvement of 43.7 %.

 

10.During the month ` 4,82,45,169 /- have been recovered towards demurrage charges from various sidings in the division.

11.Total 689 empty rakes were released during Apr’17 as compared to 575 empty rakes during corresponding period of last year, which is an increase of 19.8%.

12.In order to carry out maintenance work and clearing maximum backlog of maintenance work and relaxation of speed restrictions 4 mega blocks were operated (UP -2, DN-2).

iii)Cleaning of Over Head Tanks of staff quarters has been done to the extent of 81 Nos. both manually and mechanically.

iv)In 11 No. of Staff quarter varandah Grills have been provided at Chhindwara Bally shop, Nagpurcolonies.

COMMERCIAL

 

1.General:

1.

Additional FOB Facility provided at Dongargarh on 22.4.2017 for easy convenience to passengers during rush period.

2.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers visiting MAA BAMLESHWARI Templeat Dongargarh (DGG) during “ CHAITRA NAVRATRI MELA” period form (28.03.2017 to 5.5.2017, the following temporary extensions, augmentation and stoppageshave been implemented.

1.06 Counter were opened at south side and were run round the clock, resulted the pilgrims could not wait for a longtime and purchase their tickets smoothly. The waiting time appears to be 05 to 10 minute only, in addition 02 counters in Main Booking Office i.e. one for round the clock and one from 08 hrs. to 20.00 hrs on PRS cum UTS counter as such total 08 counters were opened during the said period.

2.To clear the rush of pilgrims passengers for incoming and out going 04 pairs of super fast Mail/Exp. Trains was allowed to stop for 02.00 minutes & 03 pairs of pass.train services extended up to DGG-Raipur and vise versa.

3.To arrest the without tickets and unbooked luggage a drivelunched at PF and as well as in the trains by the ticket checking staff as a result in comparison to the last Mela period the no.of cases i.e. “A+B” case increased by 9.29% and “C” (UBL) case increased by 40.71% .

4.During the Mela period total sale of UTS ticket Passenger-103572 Earning Rs. 3145680/- in compared to the last mela period Passenger- 92220 Earning Rs. 2944734/- i.e. vaiaion of (+) 12.31% in passenger and (+) 6.82% in earnings.

FINANCE

Bills recoverable :

The opening balance for the year 2017-18 is Rs 203.02 lakhs.Upto the month of April’17, bills for Rs 11.64 lakhs have been raised and Rs. 11.91 lakhs have been realized (5% realization). The outstanding Bills recoverable as on 30.04.2017 standsatRs 208.75 lakhs.

 

Upto April2017, 5% of total outstanding has been recovered.

 

·The opening balance for the year 2017-18is Rs.203.02 lakhs out of which Rs. 8.26 lakhs has been realized (4% realized) leaving a balance of Rs.194.76 lakhs.

·Upto the month of April’17, bills for Rs. 17.64 lakhs have been raised out of which Rs.3.65 lakhs (21%) have been realized leaving a balance of Rs. 13.99 lakhs.

2.0संरक्षाअभियान/Safety Drives:

2.1 In terms of CSO/BSP’s L/No.CSO/Safety191 dtd: 13.04.17, 60 days safety drive from 17.04.17 to 16.06.17 was launched in the division on “inspection of points & crossings” by Safety department.

2.2As desired by DRM, a 10-days safety drive on “Ambush checks on whistling habits of crew” from 20.04.17 to 29.04.17 was launched in the division involving Officers and Supervisors of Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical & traffic departments.

2.3In terms of CSO/BSP’s L/No.CSO/SD/176/HQ-3/2017 Dtd: 25.04.17, 15-days’ Safety drive on “Invalid BPC of freight trains” from 27.04.17 to 11.05.17 was launched in the division involving Officers and Supervisors of Mech, Traffic, Elect. & Safety deptt. Deptt.
