Highlights 2014-15

1.Railway could achieve a surrender of 801 posts against the targeted reduction of
1% i.e. 511 posts. Of these, 509 posts surrender was on account of Restructuring.

 

2.Under the Running Review, 180 new posts of Guards were created in the Traffic
Running Cadre, while 394 additional posts of Loco pilots were created in the
Electric Running cadre review.

 

3.Recruitement

 -Finalization of RRC Panel against 2208 vacancies (incl. PHP-191) notified in Aug’12 ,
with part panel of 1379 (on 18th July 14) followed by balance 410 (in March’15).

-Also, against the notification dated (Dec’13) for 1206 posts, written examsheld
for 6.25 Lakh candidates in Nov’14 (on all Sundays), and result announced in Mar’15.

-Part panel of 203 Ex-servicemen published in June’14.

-Recruitment against Scouts & Guide quota completed for 2.

-Selection under Sports Quota completed empanneling 33 candidates(12Grp’C’ & 21 erstwhile Grp-‘D’.)

-Number of RRB panels Totalling about 2530 candidates distributed to Divisions/
units (as per vacancies availability).

 

4.Restructuring of Cadres, which was done only for workshops, GSD/R and in NGP
divn. (Partially) in 2014-15 could be implemented in this year in all Division leaving
only a few departments viz. S&T and Commercial (Partially).

 

5.Overall on SECR, 78 cases of engagement of TADK have been done. 15 Substitute
TADKs, who have completed three years regular service have been regularized
at Hqrs.

 

6.All 944 RTI cases were cleared well within time. Similarly, all the 152 CPGGRAMS &
38 MP/MLA references could be timely cleared/ replied with necessary comments
from Division/units.

 

7. 90% of the 185 Court cases (Personnel related) on the Railway were decided in
favour of Rly. (i.e. 165 out of 185).

 

8. Selection of Contract Medical Practitioners (CMP Doctors) could be completed
for all Divisional & Central Hospitals.

 

9.Under SBF,

 -Scholarships of approx. Rs. 24. lakh each for Boys (@ 1200/- each) and Girls wards
each of the staff (@ Rs. 1800 each), who are doing higher studies @ 1000 per month.

 -Rs. 32.21 Lakh School T&PE were awarded to 162 wards of Rly. Employees, who
are pursuing professional couses.

 - A number of holiday camps were organized viz. at Rajasthan (for Male emp.), to   Kerala (for ladies employees) and to Puri (for handicapped staff).

  -A inter divisional Culture competition were organized.

 

10.Compendium of Establishment Rules – 2013 was published.

 

11.Towards System improvement, computerized Leave Account management system
was implemented over the railway in July’14 (w.e.f. 1st Jan’14), making SECR
to be perhaps the first amongst all open-line Railways to achieve this.

 

12. Under the improvement of  Work place environment , over 4100  old files wereweeded out in HQ/Personnel deptt. alone.

 

13.Month long Special drive for Joint verification of Pension A/cof all Rly. taking Pension from banks in the geographical jurisdiction of SECR was completed in Oct’14.

14.Cordial relations were maintained with the Union and Associations .
